Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 2011;49(3):182-185
A case of radicular pain that resulted from a gas-filled intradural cyst in an 80-year-old male is described. Temporary improvement of radicular pain was observed after CT-guided aspiration. However, recurrent radicular pain led to surgical treatment. In this report, the authors document the radiologic and intraoperative features of a gas-filled intradural cyst that migrated into the nerve root, and propose an optimal treatment plan based on a review of the literature.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2002;40(7):863-865
Chondrodermatitis nodularis chronica helicis is a painful erythematous, often crusted, papule most commonly found on the helix of the ear of men over the age of 40 years. It is seen less commonly in women, in whom it is usually located on the antihelix. The lesions usually occur unilaterally, although bilateral involvement has been reported. We report an unusual case of chondrodermatitis nodularis chronica helicis in an 86-year-old woman, which presented with bilateral involvement of the concha of auricles.

Journal of Korean Neurosurgical Society 2002;31(5):497-500
The authors present a case of malignant cystic meningioma in the left frontal convexity. The patient was 80-year-old male and presented with personality change and walking difficulty. Computerized tomography and magnetic resonance image demonstrated a round mass attached to the left frontal convexity dura. Intratumoral and peritumoral cystic lesions were also seen. Total removal of tumor was performed and the histological dia-gnosis was anaplastic meningioma.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2003;41(12):1662-1663
Sebaceous trichofolliculoma is a rare appendageal tumor that usually present as a solitary tumor mainly on the nose. Histologically it shows a large, irregularly shaped, centrally located cavity lined by squamous epithelium and radially arranged pilosebaceous follicles connected to the cavity. We describe a case of sebaceous trichofolliculoma in an 86-year-old woman who presented with asymptomatic skin-colored papule on her nose.

Annals of Dermatology 2004;16(1):13-15
Sebaceous carcinoma is an uncommon neoplasm usually associated with ocular adnexa. This malignancy may occur at any anatomic site that contains sebaceous glands. Despite the widespread anatomic distribution of sebaceous glands, extraocular sebaceous carcinoma occurs with far less frequency. We report a case of an 87-year-old Korean woman with extraocular sebaceous carcinoma treated with total excision.

Korean Journal of Dermatology 2005;43(7):973-975
We report a case of an 81 year-old man with multiple, giant porokeratosis, who had variable-sized erythematous, scaly plaques, ranging from 3x4cm to 10x2cm, on his trunk, extremities and genital area. The skin lesions appeared 20 years ago and had increased gradually and slowly, both in size and number. Histologic examination revealed a typical cornoid lamella and loss of the underlying granular layer. Giant porokeratosis was diagnosed on the basis of overwhelming clinical features and characteristic histologic findings. Giant porokeratosis is a rare clinical condition among several subtypes of porokeratosis.

Journal of the Korean Fracture Society 2012;25(2):136-141
Fractures of the femoral shaft with marked bowing face some obstacles in fixation of the fracture such as difficulty in insertion of the intramedullary nail (IM nail) or exact contouring plate. Locking compression plates (LCP) are an option to manage this problem. However, we experienced consecutive breakage of LCP twice and IM nail once in an 80-year-old female. Finally, union of the fracture was achieved after fixation of the IM nail and additional plate together. Fractures of the femur shaft with marked bowing are thought to have different biomechanical properties; therefore, we present this case with a review of the literature.
